EARTH DAY WORLD COOKIES

This is a fun cookie to make for Earth Day! They are very easy to make and delicious!

In a large bowl cream together the following ingredients:

1 cup butter, softened

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

Once the above ingredients are creamed together--add the following:

2 3/4 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Once the batter is mixed together, split the dough in half. Color half of the dough with green food coloring and the other half with blue food coloring.

Roll a small amount of green dough into a ball. Then, put blue patches of dough on each side. Alternate (blue dough ball in the center with green patches on both sides).

Bake at 375 degrees for eight to ten minutes.

Note: If you want to get creative, make a World Ice Cream Sandwich! After the cookies are cool, place ice cream in between two cookies. Enjoy!
